I have a form that is continuous form that list all my cable types and
information.
for each reacord. I could have up to 72 different wires for each cable
type. I created a separate table that would hold the CableID from the first
table and then the entry for the Wire. How can I get this to show on the
line of the first form and allow the user to fill in multiple terminators. I
tried creating a form and pulling it in as a sub form but this did not work.
For one thing my subform will not allow entries?
It is a simple query as shown below
SELECT EleWires.CableID, EleWires.Wire FROM EleWires;

Don't use a query.

Use the Relationships window to create a "one to many" relationship
FROM the CableID field in the first table, TO the same field in the
second table.

Then use the new form wizard to create a main form with a subform. The
main form is based on the first table. The subform is based on the
second table. The main form lets you view, add, edit or delete any
record from the first table. The subforms lets you view, add, edit or
delete the records from the second table, that relate to the record
that is currently displayed in the main form (from the first table).
