Subform ?

How do you edit a subform? I want to add another field to
it and either I am too tired or just dumb, but I can't
figure out how to do it. Thx.

In Access 2000 and later, you're supposed to be able to edit the subform my
opening the main form and editing the subform in place. This usually does
not work very well, because the section bars, scrollbars, and rulers make it
hard (sometimes impossible) to see what you are trying to edit.

Close the main form. Select the subform itself in the Database window, and
open it in design view from there.

You need to first add the field to the Table - of course, the Form is
just a window and it doesn't contain any data nor does it have fields
(just controls).

You may then need to open the Form being used as the subform in design
view. Select View... Properties; view the form's Record Source
property. Click the ... icon by it to open a query design window; add
you new field; and close the query window and accept Access' offer to
save the SQL.

So as you see - it's more complicated than it maybe ought to be!
