Subform Problems

I have created a subform in my form - I am having a couple of problems

1. When I go to add a new record the fields are not showing on the subform

2. When I open up my form it opens the subform up in the datasheet view and
I want it to open in the form view.

Can someone please help.

Ok, I figured out questin 2 but I still can't figure out question 1

I have to start with the obvious, pardon me.

Where are you adding a new record, main form?

The way that i have the form set up is you add the records at the same time.
I can add information to the main form but the subform remains blank - I
really new to the subform aspect of everything -

As I was playing around with the forms trying to figure out what was going
on, I did notice that once I changed the main form to make so that previous
records could not be edited then that is when the fields disappeared
