Subform blank

Posted this a few minutes ago, but it doesn't seem to have shown up, so here
goes again.

I have a main form with 2 subforms. There are 4 fields all together - 2 on
the main form and one each on the subforms. Tabbing order is from 1 field on
the main form, to the field on the first subform, to the field on the second
subform to the second field on the main form. My problem is that when
tabbing from the first subform to the second, the information entered in
subform 2 disappears, leaving the text block blank (though the info is
entered in the table). The same happens when tabbing from subform 2 back to
the maiin form, the info on subform 2 goes blank. It appears that the
subform are going to the next record when I tab out of the subform. How do I
make the records from all forms (mail plus the 2 subforms) only advance to
the new record when the main form is advanced.

Please forgive me if my wording is not correct as I only work with Access
once every year or so. Also, if this ends up being posted twice it is
because the first post didn't appear in the list.
