Sub-report problem

I’m trying to create a volunteer directory using a main report and two sub
reports.
The report needs to contain the volunteer’s name and address information,
the committees they are interested in (Committee sub-report), and the shifts
they are available (Shift Availability sub-report). In the Detail section of
the report I have put fields for the name and address information long the
left margin (the report is set up with 1 inch margins all around). Then along
the right margin I entered the Shift availability sub-report, which for some
people consists of four separate lines of data. At this point, I tested the
report and it looked fine. Then I added the Committee sub-report in the
middle and the report changed. If the volunteer committee data consists of
more than one line, the address information on the left margin is forced down
leaving a blank space. How do I keep that from happening? I am using Access
2000 and Windows 2000 operating system.

That's happening because the volunteer subreport grows and
"pushes" any controls below it further down the page.

Make the volunteer subreport tall enough so it's bottom is
below the top of the lowest address text box. Then set its
CanShrink property to Yes.

I figured it was something easy. Thank you so much. Now I can leave work for
the weekend having finished something I really wanted to finish.
