Stupid Video Question

All the instructions I see about making movies start out
with the assumption that I've already got the video
uploaded from the DV camera to the computer.

OK, I'm a rank newbie: How can I learn how to upload
from the DV camera?

XP Pro, Movie Maker 2, Sony PC115
 
go to dvdrhelp.com this has guides faq's sw links etc for
newbies and pros cor every conversion and every tool, its
a gold mine of info and resources!!!!
