Stupid Question

Okay, I have a PCI Network card on my computer because I didn't realize that
it already had a built-in network card on the motherboard. I was wondering if
I hooked both the card and the motherboard to my DSL router if it would
imcrease my net speed any or if it would simply just use one of the
connections? Thank you.

There would be no benefit in connecting both adapters to your router:

1. The maximum speed of your Internet connection is far slower than the
capability of either adapter.

2. Some adapters support 'teaming', but this requires identical adapters
configured for such purpose with the manufacturer's software.

3. A computer with 2 active connections to the same subnet is likely to
experience networking issues.

hi,

In simple, connecting to DSL with two network card wont increase the
Internet Speed. The connection speed does not depend on the network card but
on the ISP connection speed. Installing another network card and connecting
it to the DSL with the same line wont serve your purpose.

Hope this helps.
