Does anyone know how to show text in strikethrough mode
on PP 2000? I know I could physically draw a line through
the text, but it would seem as if there would be some
font that would do the trick . . .

Thanks

Nope, the old line drawn through the text is the only way.

Easiest and most reliable is to draw the line manually then group it with
the text so the two stay "married".

Though I shudder to mention it, you can also create and format the text in
Word then copy/Paste Special, As Word Object into PPT.
