stretching backgrounds to cover entire page

how do i stretch a background picture to cover the entire page instead of
just having it in the corner and very small??
 
You don't. You either create the image at the size you want, or you let the image tile, and may sure
you are insert the image as a page background image under page properties.

Hi,
the one thing you can't do with backgrounds is stretch them. You can tile or
not tile and/or set the backgrounds position on the page eg center/top
left/bottom right etc.

Given this limititation which would you like to do?
