Streaming Video

All of a sudden when I view streaming videos, I only get
it frame by frame. For instance when I try to view a
trailer for a movie in the theatres, I can only see bits
and pieces. I am connected with my dsl modem and even
tried with firewall disabled. I reset my Internet
Explorer to all defaults. My other two PCs play streaming
videos just fine so there must be some setting that was
changed but I do not know where. I have no viruses,
spyware, or adware. Any help is appreciated. TIA

Well, since it appears to be a recent issue, you might try using System
Restore to take you back to a time prior to when this began, Start\All
Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.

I didn't want to have to do a system restore but that
will be my last resort. Thanks Michael

Bill, XP's System Restore only restores settings, this is not a full restore
of the system to the state it was in when new which is what most OEM restore
disks do. This is different and is designed to be your first line of
defense when issues such as this suddenly arise. It should not touch your
data or applications. If you've made any recent downloads, they should be
placed in the My Documents folder or you might lose those downloads done
after the restore date.
