Streaming text onto a Word Page

I'm trying to record a video on using toolbars in Word. Because my typing is
sub par, I would like to be able to stream text into the page as though it
was being typed while I'm doing a screen recording. Recording my own typing
is not impressive for a presentation. Can this be done? If so, How? Thanks in
advance for any help.

You can try typing on left margin of active document screen (apply style if
you like) - cut and paste either of the "rand" instructions below and press
Enter - you will have training text.

=rand()
=rand(10,5)

Depending on your Word version 2003 or 2007 you will have paragraphs.

Thanks for your quick reply -- and it WAS quick. <s> The text I need to
present is my own, not that which is given with the rand command. I have
chosen not to narrate this portion of a PowerPoint show, but to just include
the video with short sentences building a paragraph describing what some of
the features of a personalized toolbar can do, then select the icon on the
toolbar to demonstrate it.

Worst case, I'll narrate it and use pre-existing text, but I'd rather not.

The other thing is Autotext 2003 prior and Autotext/QuickParts 2007 might
assist or even AutoCorrect.

Magically put your text on the screen and save in Autocorrect - eg:

This the fabulous presentation we did last week for Worldwide Vacations
.....

Copy and save to Autocorrect (all 20 paragraphs - yes, let's push the
envelope a little)...

Save it as:

pp/

Yes that is it a pp and oblique sign or even 1 character will do the trick
for a PP show - if you have formatting bold italics and so on check the
"Formatted" radio button.

Now in your text box type

pp/

and press spacebar and you will be quite amazed as to what appears?

May I suggest you try the Help feature also for a more indepth
description...

This should keep you busy for a little bit....

Just a clarification record your Autocorrect in Word screen and save in
Autocorrect, then powerpoint can access it.
So on screen in PP all you do is type shortcut, eg

pp/ (hit spacebar)
