I'm running Outlook 2002 on a Windows XP. When I write a link in an e-mail like www.microsoft.com my emaileditor (Word) changes it to : HYPERLINK "http://www.microsoft.com" www.microsoft.com

I can click directly on the link and go to the site byt I don't understand why the it doesn't just write the link as it normally does?

Please help me, I'm going crazy :-)

When composing;
Tools-> Options-> tab View-> uncheck option Field Codes

Thanks a lot for your answer, but the option is not checked.

I may have written my problem uncorrectly. When I compose the e-mail the link looks fine but after sending the link appears in the form: HYPERLINK
"http://www.microsoft.com" www.microsoft.com in the folder "sent items". When the mail is recieved the link is also shown in the strange way.

Any surgestions?

Are you using Outlook 2002 with Service Pack 3? Does the same thing happen
when you?
-Close both Word and Outlook
-Start Word
-verify that the option is unchecked
-make a hyperlink in the Word document
-press the e-mail button and send it
-open Outlook and see what's in the Sent Items folder

Hi again!

Sorry for the late reply, but I have been away for holiday.

The trick was to get Service Pack 3, and now it´s working fine.

Thanks a lot for helping me :-)

Regards,
Tina
