does not come on. The computer loads up normal and works. I urn off the
computer and try again and some times it works fine and sometimes, the
montior still doesn't turn on. I have to try a fe wmore times until the
monitor comes on, can somebody tell me what is the problem and how to fix
it?

Check monitor cables
Assuming its a video card, open the box and check it firmly seated.
Try and borrow another monitor & test with that. If thats consistantly OK
then your recon is bad

Hi Starman...
Just ran across that with one of the computers dropped off for repair.
Check your connections or to be sure, unplug and disconnect the monitor.
Reconnect.
Take Care...

Most CRTs have a small relay inside. If it fails (common failure) the
results are what you are getting. If as you say it is new and/or recon, the
seller should honor a warranty.
