Strange Screensaver/Password Actions...

Hi. Hope you could help, I could not find any an answer
after searching the MS site.

Up until about a week ago, my screensaver with password
was working fine, now its acting strange.

1. When I have the screensaver set with a password, my
computer will no longer go into screensaver mode at all.
The screen just sits there.

2. So, to experiment, I removed the password from
screensaver, and now the screensaver works fine. I mean
it goes into screensaver mode at my set 3 minute point.

- I always go into screensaver mode naturally, I never
gone to screensaver manually, actually I don't even know
how to do that.

Can someone help? Has a some file become corrupted?
Please help, its important that my screensaver have a
password on it. I'm running WinXP, Home Edition, 2002.

which screen saver are you using?
Does it do the same with all screen savers?

Dave, thanks for the reply. I just tested my problem
with 4 different screensavers, and its doing the same
thing. The screensavers I tested were Starfield, 3D
Text, 3D Pipes and Beziers.

Any suggestions? Do I need to reload some system file to
correct this?
