strange program????

i have been having performance problems with my pc. it is
a p4 2.4 ghz 533 bus 512 ddr ram 12 gb hdd. the problem i
think stems from a strange program i found in program
files drive c. it is "xerox" it caiught my eye because it
is in all lower case letters. any body know what this is
or what it does? i suspect it is a R.A.T.

It is "Standard" component of every Windows XP install
..

ok, but not to sound like a smart as*,but how come the
installation was done a month before the date from
properties in this file ?

Good question, but it is, in fact, part of a standard (everyday) install!
