I have two computers hooked up on a LAN. I've set each machine to
share its drives. The problem is that I can't get machine A to read
the Program Files directory of machine B. Machine A can get to every
other directory other than that one. I can't figure out why this is.
Can someone point me to something that can help me out?

Thanks,

Mate, this parrot wouldn't VOOM if you put four million volts through it!

- Check the NTFS permissions of "c:\Program Files"
- See if you can access this directory from a Command Prompt

According to XP's little permissions screen, I have granted full
access.

I seem to recall that I made two suggestions.

But from which computer?

Machine A - because this is the one that exhibits the problem.
Also: What exactly is the folder on machine B that you're sharing?

It's the Program Files directory. I wanted to transfer some saved
Castle Wolfenstein games from B to A and it wouldn't let me get in the
Program Files directory so I could in turn get to the Castle
Wolfenstein directory.
