Strange Message

When my XP pro machine boots up I get a dos screen with the following message:
RTING MSDOS.

I've never seen or heard of this. MY ISP says it my video card but I'm not
so sure.

Anyone????

My user had a floppy in the drive. that's what was causing this issue.

But if the MSDOS had started with the screen shifted left a bit (quite
possible) then the message would quite possibly read

RTING MSDOS

as the OP claimed.

Not at all. The horizontal alignment of the mode used for MS-DOS is just
different. The OP wasn't expecting MS-DOS to start up on his screen that
was set up for Windows XP.
