strange image shows up after logon

hi,

I am asking this from my brother. He says when he logs on ( after entering
his password ) to his windows 2000 PC, there appears for a brief instant (
3-4 seconds ) a full screen x-rated image, and then he sees the windows
desktop and its icons. He wants to get rid of this splash image. He also
gets this when he shuts down his PC.

what can be done about this?

Minimize all programs (either right click in task bar or
Click to expand...
use 'show desktop' icon in taskbar) Place your pointer
anywhere on the desktop, right click, go to settings and
look in the wallpaper or desktop. You may have a web page
set as wallpaper. Either way it sounds like you have a
small program probably inserted on your computer by a
worm. Go to Google and type in trojan remover and
download the trial program.
