strange icon has taken over

Since last Friday, a square icon w/a red square upper
left, a green circle middle right, a blue triangle lower
left has taken over starting w/the opening of IE6
and "infecting" every page viewed on the Web, including
secure sites. Can anyone tell me what to do about
this?

The first thing to do is to scan your system for the possibility of
unknown\unwanted spyware or parasites that may be causing your problem(s).
