Strange happenings with table of contents!

I have noticed a strange 'feature' when using Word 2003 SP3 and sending
documents with table of contents via Outlook/Exchange 2003 - I was wondering
if this is peculiar to our environment or if anyone else is seeing this.

When we create a table of contents for a document and save the file as
normal, the page numbers are displayed as all being 3 when the file is opened
from the message by the recipient.

When the document is printed after being opened then the page numbers are
correct, and when the document is saved and opened the numbers are the
correct ones. Strangely enough when the person sending the mail opens the
document from the message in their 'Sent Items' then the page numbers are
also correct.

This is not a major problem but I was curious if this is a known issue!

This is caused by Reading Layout view, and it happens with attachments
opened directly from email messages. Turn off the "Allow starting in Reading
Layout" in Tools | Options, General tab (and ask the people who receive your
emails to do the same). Alternatively, save attached files to the hard disk
before opening them.

I've found out what causes it!
It is opening up the document in 'Review' mode that does it. After reading
the post from Suzanne S Barnhill to another TOC question, I tried the removal
of Review mode (which was a bit of a bugbear with us anyway!) and the problem
goes away!
