I just noticed a strange thing in my db tables on one computer. The font has
changed and I dont know why. I can't think of anything I did since when I
left Friday and logged back in this morning.

Its not DB specific as I have opened other dbs on this computer and see the
same thing. checkout my screenshot, as you see the image in the background
is the font style I'm seeing now, the one with a green border is what it is
on other computers and what it used to be on my computer.

Not a crucial problem at all, just one of those strange things that I would
like to know the reason behind.

Chances are that particular computer doesn't have the expected font
installed. Windows will try to substitute a similar font if one used in a
file is missing. Sometimes Windows makes a pretty good guess and other times
it goes horribly wrong.

I try to stay with the common fonts like Courier New, Arial, and Times New
Roman, but even then I once saw a computer without Arial. It must have been
uninstalled by someone.

Use the Menu Tools / Options ... / Datasheet tab / Default Font pane to set
the font in the DatasheetView of the Table to what you like.

I just tried that but the font drop down is empty, and there is nothing set
as default.

This is usually the behaviour in Access when you have too many fonts
installed in the OS.

Have you been installing extra fonts in your OS?

Which OS version / service patch & Access version / service pack are you
using?
