Hi,

I run XP Pro SP2 on my desktop. I have one partition that I use for backups.
I find on that partition about ten folders with names like "Intel (R)
82801GB GR ..." or "Intel(R) 945G GZ P PL..." The letters and numbers are
followed by descriptive language like "USB2 Enhanced Host Controller" or
"Serial ATA Storage Controller".

My computer works well. What I don't understand is whether I can delete
these folders. I would back them up to an external hard drive before
deleting them.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Dan,
Don't Delete these folder as it is for you Chipset drivers from Intel and
your system need them to function correctly.

Many thanks for your help.

I found these folders in a partition normally used for backups. If they are
vital, shall I check whether they are in place on the partition where I keep
my OS?

Good luck, Dan S
