Strange Error

I was looking at a link on experts exchange in regard to moving my system
from my C drive (40 Gig) to my D drive (80 gig). I have a space issue on
the C drive... I have reviewed over and over and trimmed down to bare
essentials (VS2005, SQL Server 2005, VS 2003, SQL Server 2000, Office 2003,
XP SP2... a few other tools) but my disk is still full (712 Meg). I
thought I might be able to migrate as above, to the larger drive. After
checking the link on experts exchange
(http://www.experts-exchange.com/Storage/Q_20811281.html) where a product
called XClone was offered. In the attempt to download, my computer bit the
dust (Black Screen, reboot) and when it came back, my Office Outlook 2003
and Frontpage 2003 links were the square box like DOS generic boxes and
would no longer work. I tried a repair through the control panel but
apparently whatever occured removed just Outlook and FrontPage.

I'm searching for a better way to transfer my system to a larger drive. Any
ideas? (I can reinstall office to repair - I can also run a restore -
problem above is resolved but the drive issue is not.) I would say in
general that between the IE Popup blocker, my Zone Alarm, my two hardware
firewalls... cheeshhhh - internet browsing is becoming far too
complicated...

Use a program like Acronis TrueImage or Norton Ghost to clone the c: drive
to the d: drive. My personal preference is TrueImage. Note: In the process
you will lose everything that is currently on the d: drive. Once the drive
is cloned set the larger drive as the master and disconnect the smaller
driver now. Reboot into Windows and test that everything is transfered and
working OK. Once you are sure everything is OK you can set the smaller drive
as the slave and reconnect it. It can then be reformatted and used as the d:
drive.
