Strange Display after WindowsUpdate

J

Jim Matthews

After applying the latest Windows Updates, to a Windows 2000 SP4 laptop, one
of my users rebooted and noted that the display, during the reboot process,
started showing strange characters and 'red blotches", as well as
nonsensical letters where "Starting windows 200" should be.

Now this happens whenever a reboot is done.

Once the computer is rebooted completely, there is no problem, nor does
anything show up in the Event Viewer.

Any ideas ?

TIA

Jim,

I highly recommend posting the information in the Windows 2000 newsgroup.
Post the latest updates that were installed.
