i have just finished configuration of the new local network with one win2000
server, AD DNS DHCP
everything is working ok but ....
don't know why when i start "nslookup" than have such a answer :
"can't find the name of the server fot the adres x.x.x.x (local server
address):non-existing domain."

i checked up the PTR, A, NS etc records and can't find reason why ?

where i have made mistake during configuration

best regards
and thanks for help

NB

This typically means that NSLOOKUP was unable to resolve the IP address of the DNS server to a name. Verify that the PTR record for the DNS server are
correct. Use NSLOOKUP to find they. Just type "set type=ptr" and query for the IP address of the DNS server. You may also need to verify that you are
authoritative for the arpa zone of your subnet.

Thanks,
