Strange blue rectangle

I'm really not sure what newsgroup this would fall under!
I shut down my computer yesterday,and for some reason the monitor went into
sleep mode when it woke up,and my computer came back on, I had a small blue
rectangle box on my screen,which seems to be on top of everything my mouse
can go under it but not over it.
It contains the following SH770 P001
AU M170EN05
any Ideas how to get rid of this?

Sounds like the monitor controls, have you tried the buttons on the front of
the monitor?

yes but not really sure what I'm doing, and no matter what i seem to press on
the monitor it doesn't seem to change it, its annoying cause its blocking the
refresh,stop,and forward buttons on my screen

Good starting point with anything like this is to try Google

Googling M170EN05 comes up with a Chinese web site for LCD monitors,
from which the word fpdisplay can be discerned.

A simple try of www.fpdisplay.com lets you search for M170EN05 ...
voila : it's about your monitor.

Consult your manual.
 
I tried all the adjustments on the monitor's control panel and it didn't work
till I hit power shut the monitor off and when it came back up it was fine

I knew it was about my monitor,but I went to your web site anyway,it was not
helpfull,I don't want to buy a monitor.the previous person answered my
question and was very helpful so as far as ask a silly question get a silly
answer, I guess the world isn't as smart as you! some of us need help
sometimes and I don't appreciate your sarcasm!

I had the same exact problem i tryed using my buttons on my moniter with no
success so i shut it off and turned it back on and it worked fine.....but i
do have a probolem with it it has a green light with the power button and
when it's suppost to go to sleep it goes orange and when i turn it back on
from off it blinks and takes forever to turn on... any suggestions as to why
or what i can to to fix the problem??
