stopping menus from collapsing

I am having a problem with my menus collapsing, as to not
show the full contents of the menu. Example: In IE, my
Favorites will collapse, giving me a little arrow button
on the bottom of the menu to expand it and see the full
contents if I want to. I want to see the full contents
of these menus all the time, and I forgot how to change
this setting. Anyone know how?

Hi
Pls try in IE Tools/Properties for Internet/Advanced/ scroll down the list
and Uncheck "Activate userdefined Favorites menu.

I have the same issue. I don't want Windows assuming which menu items
I'm going to use the most. I just want the whole menu.

Has anyone figured this out? You'd think it would be in the same
options as turning off the shadowing below the menu or the fade menu
option, but no, it's not there.

Hi amber,

Open Taskbar and Start Menu Properties>Start Menu tab, click on Customize
button, in the Advanced Start menu options field, scroll to locate Use
Personalized Menus and click in the checkbox beside it to clear the
checkmark there. Click on OK and OK again.

For IE Favorites menu, go to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab, locate
Enable Personalized Favorites Menu and click in the checkbox beside it to
clear the checkmark there. Click on Apply then OK.

The instructions in the girl.com article states in XP to right click on
start > properties > general tab... There is nothing in either the
general or advanced tabs that addresses personalized menus.

You have to first switch to "Classic Start Menu" then hit the [Customize]
button.
