Stopping folders

[Confused User]

Is there a way to prevent programs, like windows media player and others,
from creating and recreating their default folders in "My Documents"? I
posted this question in the mediaplayer forum but it seems like no one is
active there, so I am hoping someone here can tell me.

Cannot be stopped, but can be re-directed to an alternate location
outside of the "My Documents" root. Use Tweak-UI's Special Folders
function to move/redirect.
