Stopping Favorites from automatically reordering items

Adding an object or changing the name of an object in the
favorites list almost always results in the object ending
up at the bottom of the list.

Is there any config or reg key that can be set to stop the
favorites from automatically moving things this way?

Has Microsoft made any indication that they're going to
fix this misfeature?

Is there any chance of getting Microsoft to listen?

Unfortunately now AFAIK.
What you have to do is open the Favourites menu item (not the button), go to
the folder to which you have added your new link and right click on it and
select "Sort by Name".

Hope this helps.
