Stopping a Slide Show and keeping a slide on the screen

I have a 5-slide show. It is set to loop continuously until "Esc".
I use it as a background while I am introducing the topic ( about 5
minutes).
I would like to be able to STOP the slideshow at slide 4 ( which has a list
of 3 important topics)
and KEEP that slide 4 on the screen, so I can speak for a few minutes
on the topics on that slide.
Then I want to let the slideshow continue automatically as before while I
talk about some additional items.

Trouble is, when I stop the show (hit Esc) it reverts to regular Powerpoint,
instead of remaining as a show
with slide 4 on the screen in slideshow form.

Powerpoint 2002. Any help will be appreciated.

Press "S" to pause the show, then "S" to restart it. While in Slide Show
Mode, press F1 to see the HELP screen.
