How so I stop "Window Mail" from transfering my Comcast Mail?

A wild guess here!!!

I'm guessing that you want a copy left on your server, so you can access
your mail from work/college and then when you get home you can download the
same emails at home???.

Got to Tools - Accounts - click on your mail account - Properties -
Advanced tab - and check "Leave a copy of messages on server". You also
have an option to delete after so many days or when you delete the message
from your inbox.

I use comcast mail but when I had to change ports for mail account I did
something & it took all my mail in the inbox of comcast to windows. I'm just
used to comcast mail. I will try that to see if it leaves a copy in comcast.
Thanks

Is Comcast set as your default mail?

Got to Tools - Accounts - click on Comcast and then click the "Set as
default" button down the right hand side. That should stop it opening in
windows mail.

yes comcast is default. I just received mail in my comcast inbox, hopefully
it's fixed & it will stay there. But if it does transfer to windows mail, by
checking that box it will leaved a copy in comcast? Thanks for your help.

Glad it helped.
