Stop Saving Search History

Guest

In all search boxes, if you double click on the space you type in it displays
all the things I've ever entered in a drop down list.
Example: If I went to google.com and double clicked on the search box, a
list would drop down of all the information I've ever searched for.
How do I get Internet Explorer to stop saving my search history?
Note: I set it to delete all temp. internet files and that did not fix the
problem.

With no programs open,
Run REGEDIT and make your way to this key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IntelliForms\SPW]
Export that key (Registry> Export.) If you you wish to undo the change,
doubleclicking on that REG file will restore the original registry key.
Then delete the SPW key.
Restart the computer.

If these steps do not resolve your problem, or you need help with the above,
please post back to this thread with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps

Autocomplete thing, the problem is now fixed. Thanks again!

In IE go to Tools...Internet Options...Content tab, Autocomplete button.
Uncheck the boxes there that you want. Click the Clear Forms box to clear
the search drop-down box entries.
