My daughters PC has the 'blue screen of death' with the above error message.
I have the info on how to fix it, insert the windows disk, at the start up
screen press r etc. The problem is I can't get that far, I get all of the
options but it doesn't matter which option I choose it still comes back to
the blue screen. Won't start in safe mode and can't get a command prompt.
To make matters worse it appears that when trying to boot from the XP disk
the pc won't recognise it as a boot/start-up disk, I have also tried using a
Windows 98 boot disk to no avail arrrgggghhhhh.
It is driving me insane please, pleeeaseeee can someone help me. I have not
got a vast knowledge with computers but can manage to get by but this has got
me stumped!!!
