stop outlook minimising letters after a date number like 7th

Outllok is automatically minimising the letters after a date (2nd, 5th) and I
can't stop it. I notice in options it is using Word as an editor but I can't
find out how to change it there either. Any suggestions please, it is very
annoying.

Version of Outlook? If 2003 and older, are you using word as the editor?

This can be disabled in the Autocorrect, Autoformat as you type dialog on
the Tools, options, spelling, autocorrect dialog.
