stop outlook deleting messages by mistake

i am using outlook with the pst folder hosted on a network drive. When I am
deleting a whole bunch of messages, often i manage to delete a message by
mistake - this is because the delete function comes up before the message
does, so i think i am deleting the wrong message. EG: I see a message i want
to delete and click the X sign for delete. Nothing happens (because the
network drive is slow and the next message has not loaded up yet) so i click
delete again. But the computer thinks i want to delete the next message,
which i haven't seen yet. I think it would be quite easy for you to make sure
I can't delete a message which is not displayed on the screen

Microsoft specifically does NOT support using pst files over a network, so
tough luck!

Ask the admin to get a faster network. :)

This is just one reason why network access of pst's is not supported.

You should keep your PST locally and back it up onto your networked drive.
Microsoft doesn't support the use of PST's stored on a network drive. This is
one reason why.
