I think it's Office that is causing my "unused" menus to hide but i'm
not sure.

How get I get Office/Windows XP to always show full menus??

I'm using XP Professionsal SP2 and Office 2003 with all service packs

thanks
mike

This is called "personalized menu" right click the task
bar left properties click start menu then customize,
scroll down until you find the option and uncheck it.
The other place would be in the internet explorer options
then tools in the advance tab.
The other is in office, tools customize, options then
place a check mark in the show full menus.

Go into Office's options and uncheck "use Personalized menus". You can
do the same on the Start menu's properties in XP.

The menus display only the recently used or frequently used commands. There
is a small arrow at the bottom of each menu. Clicking there will expand the
menu. You can also uncheck the Use Personalized Menus as described by the
above poster.
