Stop Message

Any time I try to install new software, a blue screen
pops up and says "Stop Message, disable any BIOS memory,
including shadowing and caching," and then a bunch of
tecnical info. I don't understand. Another one that might
appear says to disable or uninstall any anti-virus
software. Can anyone tell me what BIOS memory is? Also,
any other info would be appreciated.

Could you please post the Stop Code that accompanies the BSOD? With that
your problem could be isolated.

The STOP code that accompanies the message is: *** STOP:
0x000000c5 (0x90000A4, 0x00000001, 0x80534006)
Hopefully I can get this fixed!
 
Right after I posted the technical information for one
stop message, I got another one. *** Stop: 0x00000050
(0xF25162F8, 0x00000001, 0x804F410C, 0x00000000)
