STOP message

After succesfully installing windows 2000 on my computer i
decided to run the Windows update service from the
website. After the installation of all the updates the
computer froze. i had to restart computer and now it comes
up with "STOP, driver error" in DOS everytime i switch it
on.
What do i do?

Do you have more information than this?
Any errorcode or filename which causes the error?

Can you start the computer in save mode?
