There are certain message boxes that take no notice of windows sounds or
volume settings and emmit a full volume beep. Log into XP and type in your
password wrong and you will hear it. I like to listen to music when I am
working, but I am getting really sick of these beeps. Apart from making me
jump out of my chair from the shock, it is damaging my ears. Is there a way
to stop this happening?

Ehlo Waldy,
Well, you could always... Get your password straight :)

Click on View / Show Hidden Devices

Expand Non-Plug and Play Drivers

Right click on Beep and Disable
