This was the message on a blue screen during the OS installation:

***STOP: 0x0000001A (0x00041284, 0x0E003000, 0x00013468, 0xC0502000) MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
Beginning dump of physical memory. Physical memory dump complete. Contact your system administrator or technical support group.

I've never got error messages when installing Win2000 OS before. Later after a retry I got past the above part and got the
following messages:

RUNDLL32.exe - Application error
The instructions at "0x77fccd53" referenced memory at "0x0040000c". The memory could not be "read".

unregmp2.exe - Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005)

As an aside, my power switch doesn't seem to be able to shut off the system - it acts like a reset switch yet it turns it on fine.
Its definitely on the right terminals on the motherboard. I did manage to get W2k basically installed though.

Suggestions?

Hello,

sounds like a memory problem to me. Get one of the memory testing tools
and if it find something change your memory modules.

I was thinking the same. Can you recommend a memory tester? How about Sisoft Sandra or PCMark 2002? I have 3 sticks of memory in
there. I thought about just using one at a time. ??
