I am running Windows 2000 on a Toshiba Satellite lap top.

Upon booting I receive the following error message.
STOP 0x00000007B Inaccessible_Boot-Device

I have been running Windows 2000 on this machine with no
problem. What do I do next to determine the problem

It sounds like the MBR Master Boot Record on the drive may
have been damaged. What I would do first is see if you
can get into the system in safe mode. Sometimes you can
get in and then set the system to do a scan of the drive
the next time it boots. This does usually mean though
that the drive may be going bad. There are some other
things you may try but if you only have the CD from
Toshiba those usually are just for redoing the whole
system and will format the drive and all files are lost.
If you do have or can get a standard 2000 CD you can boot
from the CD and then setup has an option to repair a
windows 2000 installation. First off try the Fast Repair
options and that may get you running.
