stop error - session5 initialization failed

Updated Windows2000 online with all the security updates
now I can not boot up. I get a "stop error - session5
initialization failed"
I tried safe mode doesn't boot.
I tried last know config doesn't work.
Ofcourse I want to get running and maintain the data on
the hard drive already. What do I do?
Thanks, Lee
I do not know how to turn caching and shadowing off from
my BIOS this note was in the error message as a potential
solution but it also said use safe mode which hasn't
worked.
