ok so i sometimes get a blue screen stop error which says "a wait operation,
attach process, or yield was attempted from a DPC routine" then it explains
about restarting my computer if this is the first time this has happened. and
if this has happened before it could be due to newly installed hardware or
software.

also says i should go and disable bios memory caching and shading. and the
details are "0x000000b8 (0x00000000,0x00000000,0x00000000,0x00000000)

the thing is i havent installed any new hardware or software. i have all new
updates from windows. all updates for my hardware and software. no other
erros on my computer, such as devices or software. ive checked my hole
computer. i think it could be graphical as it only happens when i try to
start game. also the times it doesnt happen and im playing games they will
sometimes crash. the games are all uptodate as are my graphics drivers. i
have no other known graphic problems. i also tried what it siad about the
bios settings but couldnt find them in the bios. i dont really know what else
todo other than a system restore or reinstall of windows. neither i want to
do.

just wondering if any one has had this before and any ideas what is cuaseing
it. also every time this happens it will place a file in my mini dump but i
cant open them to read them.

any help here? if not ill contact windows.

thanks

First thing to try is updating your graphics drivers from the manufacturer's
website.

tried that. got the latest drivers installed all correct and as followed on
there site. they said try the last old driver that worked but still doesnt
fix the problem.

Which graphics card do you have and which version of the drivers?

Which version of DirectX are you running?
