Stop auto style updates

I have alrge WoRD doc that automaticaly is updating styles within the
docuemnt everytime I make a single edit.
IT personnel have told me they do not know what the problem is bu feel the
file is corrupted and are re-installing WORD. I beleive different versions
of WORD are being used in this office (XP and 2000).

Any assitance is welcome
 
Tell your IT department to reference the MVP FAQ site or one of the others

I seriously doubt a Word reinstall is either necessary or helpful. (It
certainly won't help a corrupted document file!)
