Please help:

I have a Win2000 system that everytime I restart or
shutdown, the computer gives me this message in a BLUE
screen:

STOP: 0x0000009F (0x00000100, 0x88ECBF20, 0x88ECBF20,
0x88ED4030) POWER_STATE_FAILURE

Is there a way to fix this?? I have searched the MS
knowledge base and can't fix it.

Thanks.

ust wanted to put my $0.02 out there. I had a client that was having
this issue. Their error code was 0x9f, 0x100, 0x82010bb0.

Machine:
Windows 2000 Pro w/SP4 and all latest patches and drivers (according to
ms windows update)
1.6Ghz
512M Ram
30G HD with 20G free.

I had followed these steps:
Rebooted into safe mode,
Shut down,
Found that it blue screened from safe mode
Booted normally
Ran Sigverif.exe
Found that their Netgear WAP USB driver and APC USB drivers where not
signed. Doing some more research, I found the Netgear WAP drivers
where really for WIN9x not win2k. So I unplugged the WAP (the USB part
is only used for management) and changed the UPS battery drivers to the
Microsoft HID drivers... Powershoot complained about it before I
rebooted. But after re-boot it has not had the bsod when rebooting or
shutting down.
