I am running an AMD k6 with 64meg video and 10gig hd.
I had xppro running with 128mb on the system and then I
added an additional 128 mb of ram.

I get the STOP 0x00000050 (page fault in non page area)

Is the ram fried or what? I went back to my original 128
and it didn't matter. I even tried to reinstall windows
and after I hit the Agree to the licencing.... guess
what...

page fault in non page area message.

I even tried loading the defaults in the bios... swapping
ram chips.....

Any suggestions????

Thanks for your help

I saw that link when I did a search. Unfortunately the
problem has gotten worse as I can not log in in safe mode
and I was able previously to get to the recovery
console... but now cannot.

any suggestions? replace the ram? The link site says it
may be the hard disk as well...

thanks

Tim

Hi

Have you checked the RAM:

"Windows Memory Diagnostic"

Thanks... I have downloaded the file... Its larger that a
single disk... I will have to figure a way of making up a
bootable disk now to run it.

Tim

Hi

It shouldn't span more than one floppy. I've just created a bootable disk
here with the downloaded file:

mtinst.exe

Have you got a CD writer to use:
