stm35 backmon

When ever I shut down, there is a warning about a program
running that windows is saving before it shuts down.
STM35 BACKMON is the program, I dont know what, why or
where this program is. Yet now I believe it will stop me
from switching between programs, telling me that the
program is busy and prompts me to "switch to". Everything
I try to switch to is also "busy", which will then freeze
up my computer. So I close down and the only program
hanging out there is stm35 backmon. This is starting to
happen frequently. Any suggestions??

I get this STM35 backmon message often on shutting down also. Can't find anything about it here on Microsoft. My config includes an ATI All-In-Wonder video card, HP LaserJet 1200, Epson C80, and a RAID 1 disk array. Any commonality with your configuration that might give us a clue? Anyone else out there with this problem

Google Is Your Friend(tm), folks. stm35 is related to your Epson and is
obviously not exiting correctly. It is some sort of monitoring
software, so see if you can shut it down without negatively affecting
the Epson. You might need to check with Epson tech support.
