I wrote last night to see if anyone knew how to help me get my sound. I kept
on trying today to see if i could find anything and it kept on saying there
is no sound device installed. Now i have unplugged it and plugged it back in
again but still nothing. Im lost anymore suggestions???

You did ok by removing the board, but did you take some steps in windows
before removing the card?

before removing the board and while you were in windows, did you check to
see if your speakers were plugged in the speaker jack and not the mic jack?
(physically check the back of pc, ....)

did you check to see if your speakers had power, eg ac adaptor plugged in or
batteries were ok or the power button to speakers was on? (physically check
the back of your speakers, ...)

did you check to see if the sound scheme was working ok and or check to see
if the mute was on? (go to control panel, sound, .....)

did you check the systems devices and see if the device was enabled or maybe
had a yellow question mark? (go to control panel, system, ....)

Concluding these preliminaries go to start > run > "C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Microsoft Shared\MSInfo\msinfo32.exe" [check out your system
and look for any abnormalities]

If all of the above checks out, then there are some additional steps to
take......

however, provide us with the pc make/mfg, processor/cpu speed, sound brd
make/mfg (if possible)

incidently, most motherboards have sound built in to them. but you mentioned
you had a sound board. do you have 2 sets of speaker jacks, mics?
