still images in MM2

I'm relatively new to MM2 and have a few questions incorporating still
images into a DV production.

1. is there any user control to enable stretching/scaling the image to
the video frame resolution or are they restricted to whatever the native
image resolution is?

2. it seems that MM2 wants images at 800x600 and not 720x480, is this
true?

Bottom line: I'm looking for some insight on what the alternatives are
for importing still shot images into MM2 for a slide show production.
Any advice or information will be appreciated, thanks.

MM2 uses your selected aspect ratio - if it's 4:3 it'll fit your stills into
it and add back on the sides or the top/bottom if needed, so it doesn't
distort your images.

So 800x600 and 720x480 are both 4:3 ratios - use either - or use 4000x3000

If the black space is no problem, no need to crop and prep the pictures
first. If you don't want the black, you need to crop them to the selected
aspect ratio before importing.

correction,
800x600 = 4:3
720x480 = 3:2

OK, so MM2 only uses 4:3 and there is no way to rescale images into that
format from within. Too bad since it adds another step in the process.
Thanks for the info,

MM2 uses the option you pick - either the normal 4:3 or widescreen 16:9 - I
assume you are using the 4:3
