Hey Gary

I did exactly what you said and tried to send again and got this message

"The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Gift certificate ',
Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP,
Port: 587, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E"

We are using McAfee provided by comcast.....

Thanks,
Loni Goodman

The next most likely cause for this problem is McAfee.
As a test, uninstall it, reboot, then try sending again.

Tools | Accounts
Select the Comcast account.
Click Properties.
Go to the Servers tab.
Change the outgoing (SMTP) server to smtp.comcast.net
Check the box on the bottom: "My server requires authentication".
